Day 8

Let me impress the deepest learning experience is recording the video. Because to meet the content of the site, so my video needs to be related to the official game. This means that I can not use the same ppt as other students to complete.Through access to relevant information, combined with their own thinking, and finally came up with two games: point out the facial features and paste facial features. “Point out the facial fearture” need to face out, but the video needs to spread to the Internet, so I do not want to use my face. So I figured out a doll to finish the game. Fortunately, the effect is not bad. The second game is very simple to create, just draw a blank face, and some of the individual features on it.

Wenjuanxing, ClassDojo and padlet, these three tools are my favorite. ClassDojo can make real-time communication platform, it helps parents understand students in school learning children’s activities, social, and growth and so on various aspects of performance anytime and anywhere. And the interaction with parents only can see each other, has better confidentiality. In ClassDojo, teachers can send instant messages directly to parents, and send students’ learning and activity schedules to parents. And can give students’ performance in class properly points or points. The Padlet is an electronic white board that like the graffiti walls of life, not only can post photos, but also can post text, audio, video, file, website links, and take photos if a webcam is embeded. So children can share ideas, pictures, documents, video and so on. Wenjuanxing is a powerful website that can create questionnaires and exams. In this site, I can pass the questionnaire and online examination, etc. to detect the child’s knowledge of the degree of time. So I think these three tools are very convenient for me.

Polleverywhere, testmoz and Rubric, I think these three tools are of little use. Although Polleverywhere has many function, but the actual operation up a little trouble, in addition to the most basic test, the rest of the features are a bit cumbersome. Testmoz is also a tool for making tests. However, compared with the Wenjuanxing, its function is so simple, it only can make test. Rubric is a tool that can score a student’s class performance based on the class content, but the classification is not rich enough, and most of the scoring content still needs to be produced, even if you do not have the software.

Upon completion of the group operation, we will immediately ask the teacher and classmates in case of unclear questions. After determining the theme, immediately division of labor began to access information, greatly improving the efficiency of completion. Carefully read the courseware on the teacher’s blog and check out the relevant useful information.

I think in the future teamwork, the members need to have more communication. This time is because the communication is too little, each have their own ideas, so it will have a lot of mistakes in the production of the site. Secondly, to do our best to complete, not sloppy. Finally, to adapt and learn how to work with others to complete a job, improve efficiency.

In the two weeks of study, the first time I knew the way the class was so diverse. There is not only a single form of teaching in the classroom, but also through various tools on the network and students and parents interact. And through the group operations I learned how to creat a website, as well as some video, audio and other learning materials on the site. From the beginning of these network equipment unfamiliar to the later familiar and skilled use, have benefited for me. So in my opinion, all of these tools are enriched in teaching and are useful. In the future study career, I want to get more confidence, try to make teaching more vivid.

Day 7

Today, I were asked to create a quiz to assess their students learning outcomes with several tools such as polleverywhere.com, testmoz.com, and sojump.com.

While using polleverywhere, although it’s a lot of features,  I found that I would not use it at all. It was so complex. However when I use testmoz, it only can make question with words, but it is easy to use, in other words, I know how to use it. And wenjuanxing was more convenient, it had many templates and could insert a picture in the question. It is also a lot of features, and the page is very simple, even if the first use is also no difficulty.

Wenjuanxing has a total of six functions: questionnaires, online examinations, online voting, registration form, 360 degree assessment, online evaluation.  Questionnaires is to get the information you need by asking people to answer some questions. The online exam is done within a specified time to complete the examination paper to check the degree of understanding of knowledge. Online voting can understand the wishes of the title, to achieve perfect results. The registration form is used to check in to determine if people are present on time. 360-degree assessment refers to the bulk assessment, weight dimension, easy to release, personal report.

In the pre-class to do a check-in table to determine the number of attendance, the class can be based on the content of the study to prepare a small test, after school and then use wenjuanxing to do a time limit test to detect the degree of student absorption.

I think it meet the standard that ‘Design and develop digital age learning experiences and assessments’. I use these tools to do questionnaires, online exams, small tests and scoring criteria. It meets that design, develop, and evaluate authentic learning experiences and assessments incorporating contemporary tools and resources to maximize content learning in context and to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes identified in the Standards•S.

Day 6

Today, I discussed ‘Enhancing Teaching and Learning Through the Use of Digital Story-telling’.  Based on video creation and audio editing, I was asked to record my reflection on learning experiences and edit the video with a title and credit.  And I was also asked to link their videos and audios to the course site.

Digital Storytelling is a tool on teaching children. It uses new digital tools to help ordinary people to tell real-life stories. It is the practice of combining narrative with digital content, including images, sound, and video, to create a short movie, typically with a strong emotional component. It can be instructional, persuasive, historical, or reflective. It is normally 2-5 minutse long and can be effectively applied to nearly any subject.

When a teacher wants to enhance student learning, motivation and engagement, or want to build student technology skills, he will use digital storytelling.

I use I-Movie to edit my video, this software operation is very simple and a lot of features. However, when I edit my video, there has a big problem, that I don’t know how to add a cover. So then I checked the operation method online, and finally I successed.

  For those who want to use the video in class, I suggest not to use the video too long, the content of the video as rich as possible, so you can attract the attention of students.

  It meets the standard is ‘Model digital age work and learning’. Because making audio and video needs digital tools and resources. It needs to use the electronic equipment to shoot the video, and then through the computer software for editing. All steps are needed model digital tools.

Day 5

Today, teacher asked us to create a audio file to teach the content in the lessson plan. The audio project should meet one or two objectives listed in the lesson plan. I could use any tool to create her/his audio, save it in MP3 format, upload to pan.baidu.com, share the file with everyone with the link, and upload to the course site their group created on the Course Materials page.

My audio and video are about teaching kids to play games about the five senses. So I said the importance of knowing the five officials at first, then explain why the child should know the five officials and their location. Write a rough draft of the manuscript and then start recording. At first, it was not easy to read, and some words were not pronounced correctly. I practiced and tried many times, and finally I finished.

The video should have a cover, a few still image, a video clip, and a credit slide.  My video is teaching kids to play games.One of the games is to let the child put the five official on the blank face with his own impression, so I prepared a single five official and a blank face, in the video demonstration how to do it.

After these, I use I-Movie make video clips and turn it to MP4 format. and upload the video to youku.com and embed the video to the course site.

Today, teacher taught us how to build a web site. Web page is the basic element that makes up the website, it is the platform that carries various website application. In layman’s terms, websites are made up of web page. The features of the web page will be adapted to the size of your browser window, with rich content, text, pictures, and even video music. And it is divided into dynamic and static. And ordinary documents, such as TXT documents, are relatively simple, and are in black and white. The format is simple and the content is relatively simple.

The website is a communication tool that people can use to publish information they want to publish, or use a website to provide relevant web services. People can access the site through a web browser, get the information they need or enjoy the Internet. Because the website need by combination of each web page, a content rich website need to make many web pages, and the process of making web pages is not easy, and to update the content on the page, the website can become more and more full.  So I suggest that you need to plan your site with a storyboard ahead of time.

When I was making web pages, the biggest problem is not enough content to make my website full rise, no rich content, web pages can be very cold and cheerless, the entire site seem so empty, can click on the link and rarely. In order to solve this phenomenon, I spend most of their time in design the theme of the site, and around this topic lists a lot of classification, and then on the Internet access to large amounts of data, trying to enrich my theme, and try to make it in detail, so that visitors can find what they want more intuitive.

I think the website in study is connected with the one of ISTE standard is that model digital age work and learning. Because one point from this standard is model and facilitate effective use of current and emerging digital tools to locate, analyze, evaluate, and use information resources to support research and learning. The website is put the assignment and course resources in the site so that parents can know the content and schedule of the class, and the homework and materials should be put on the website together, so parents can help their children to learn.

My experience with class management software: classdojo

你Today, teacher told us a new tool for class, ClassDojo. It can make real-time communication platform, teachers and parents help parents understand students in school learning anytime and anywhere, activities, social, and growth and so on various aspects of performance, but also can guide the parents at home to children the right guidance, to strengthen what they learned in school.And the interaction with parents only can see each other, has better confidentiality

Through practical operation, I learned that in ClassDojo, teachers can send instant messages directly to parents, and send students’ learning and activity schedules to parents. And can give students’ performance in class properly points or points, which can be for parents to see, can achieve the purpose that parents know their children live in the schoo.

If I become a teacher in future, I will use ClassDojo to send important notices to parents in case the students don’t have a clear answer.

Because ClassDojo can add points or deduction to students’ class performance, and can communicate with parents in real time, they can exert a certain constraint on students. So it connect the standard is that promote and model digital citizenship and responsibility.

To achieve these standards teachers should use their knowledge of subject matter, teaching and learning, and technology to facilitate experiences. Integrating electronic white board in classroom teaching

padletThe Padlet is an electronic white board that like the graffiti walls of life, can be posted on the web with photos and what you want to say. Not only post photos, but also can post text, audio, video, file, website links, and take photos if a webcam is embeded.

Through the practice, I know that Padlet is a great online interactive post-it tool. Compared with traditional paper post-it, it is designed as an online post-it tool. Such children can share ideas, pictures, documents, video and so on.

If I am a teacher, I will let students use padlet frequently. Let them share what they think are interesting or their opinions on the padlet.

Because it needs students share what they think or what they had done, so it can promote students’ learning initiative. So it is connect to one of ISTE standards is Facilitate and inspire student learning and creativity. Because it can promote, support, and model creative and innovative thinking and inventiveness, engage students in exploring real-world issuesand solving authentic problems using digital tools and resources, promote student reflection using collaborative tools to reveal and clarify students’ conceptual understanding and thinking, planning, and creative processes, model collaborative knowledge construction by engaging in learning with students, colleagues, and others in face-to-face and virtual environments.

Day 2 About Flipped Classroom

My understanding on the flipped classroom

Today’s class, teacher told about the flipped classroom which refers to re-adjusting the time inside and outside the classroom, transferring the decision of learning from the teacher to the student. Teachers through the video, seminars, questionnaire before class first let students autonomous learning, which means that the teachers will not in the classroom to teach too much, can let the student in the class have more autonomous learning time.After class, students have to arrange and plan their study, which is to make learning more flexible and active, and make students more engaged. Flipped classroom has two main features: vedio is dapper, and the knowledge point is rich and comprehensive.

I hope my professorer to use this method and if I become a teacher I will use it too, because flipped classroom is the product of advanced technology. It takes full advantage of students’ spare time to study, and always take the form of teacher as classroom leader. Its different aducational style can greatly improve students’ enthusiasm for learning.According to the research, students in flipped classroom have improved their scores significantly. This shows that flipped classroom is more conducive to students’ learning, so I think flipped classroom is worth to popularized.

The challenge about creating this lesson plan is that it needs working with parteners,which requires cooperation between members and whether the course apply to students is also a question. I can set a theme by myselves which makes me existing.

We can’t think out enough questions quickly about our subject and we are not familiar with this site so we can not use it very well.I will use this tool to set some choice questions or competition for children to do before or after class.

Hello, I am Cri, a student in preschool education. I come from Shanghai, a 20-year-old girl. In my spare time,I have broad interests like many other youngers.I like reading books, especially those about mystery novels. Frequently I exchange with other people by making comments in the forum on line. I also like to play PC games. A lot of grownups think playing PC games hinders the students from learning. But I think PC games could motivate me to learn something such as English or Japanese.

And, today I have learn the use of science and technology in preschool education. It was so amazing that teachers in western countries applied ipad or whiteboard to teach preschool children’s foundation of cognition. And in the class, I also learned how to use this blog and had my own blog. Also it was difficut at first, loging in this web page need over the wall and doing other trivial work, but when finished I discovered the magic of it.

In my opinion, applying the high-tech products to preschool education can attract the interest of preschool children and improve their attention. In all, it is good for education career.
